Bella's half Birthday

Little Bella's birthday is in between Thanksgiving and Christmas because of this the poor child has only had one actually birthday party so I decided we should have a half birthday party in the summer for her. It was a surprise bellow are the pictures of her finding out.
 She was shocked
 and happy
 bubble gum cupcakes and lemonade
She got a mermaid tail towel. Such a cute idea!

Bella is timid and this is her being shy, excited and happy all at the same time.

May and June Update

We dubbed this summer the summer of magic because the kids have really been into witch books. Luke has also given members of our family witch names. He is Luca von Dracula, Bella is Dibellica, Royce is Bitty Vicious and I was named Beara Death Wartensen. lol

The kids look forward to Friday movie night all week long.
We road our bikes to the pond in Cedar Hill and the kids and Dad Swam

We have 3 splash pads within 20 minutes of us. The kids love these places

The kids made artwork for the Strawberry Days kids art contest unfortunately we went camping when the submission were to be turned in but they still had fun making them

This is Luke's. He wanted to make a color wheel so we decided to make a tree color wheel.

We parked and Royce and Abrahm tried to follow them but they were already gone but we found this snake instead
Just a pic of our house we have been spending a lot of time working on the outside and yard.

Shiloh is 2 monthss (and a half)

Our Awesome little girl is growing fast. We AdorĂ© her (punn intended).
Little Royce loves his baby sister and is generally really gentle and sweet with her. If only I could get him to leave her alone while she is napping.

Shiloh likes her carseat and  sleeps in it often at night. I think it helps her feel snuggly and secure. She also loves having a blanket on her and usually gets a big grin when I put one on her.

Girlfriend also loves her swing. If she starts getting cranky and is having a hard time falling asleep putting her in this usually does the trick. Thats where she is at right now!

This little girl is so full of happiness and joy. She is so pleasant to be around just brightening everyones mood. I just love happy babies. Here she is while we were camping over Fathers Day weekend.
Here is Shiloh during some tummy time. She actually loves it and smiles and giggles when I put her on her stomach but after a few minutes she get tired and wants to roll over.

Here are my girls. Is so fun having Bella around to help me girlify Shiloh. She picks out cute outfits and helps get bows and just gives her lots of love and attention. Bella got some new overalls and had to put Shiloh's on her too so they could match, so cute!

Happy Mothers Day!

One day I found these footprints all over my house. James thought I was crazy because I wouldn't let him mop them up.
Eventually they wore off but before they did every time I would look at them they reminded me how lucky I am to be the Mother of these amazing children.
Sometime when I see smudges on my wall or spilled water on the floor I get frustrated that I have another mess to clean up, but othertimes they help me remember that God loves me and has given me many Blessings!
especially My Children
Psalm 127:4  Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them:)
 Happy Mothers Day!

Spring Happenings and Dr. Checkups

I took all five of the kids in yesterday for checkups mostly because James was really concerned about immunization. We have been doing a delayed schedule mostly because when Luke was a baby he had some reactions to the shots that I wanted to avoid with the other kids. Luckily the only one that needed a shot was Abrahm. He got the DTAP. It was actually his first shot and he was super brave.
Here are the kids stats from there checkup.

Shiloh
5 weeks
12.75lb 98%
22.75in 98%

Abrahm
27lbs 76%
32in 22%

Royce
3 years 3 months
40lbs 95%
40in 87%

Bella

55lb 84%

Luke

54.75in or 4ft 6in 98%
88lbs 98%

James and I both find it amusing that our biggest baby at birth is now the smallest percentile wise. (Abrahm was 10lb 4oz at birth)

Bella and Luke finishing the foot race at Homeschool Field Day

Yes it is snowing in April, the kids loved it!!
Bella read her first book in April. Good job Bella!

We try to have lunch with James once a week. We went to Macey's grocery store this day and the kids all got ice cream cones. Lucky kids!

Friday movie night. They are all passed out in Bella's trundle bed.

Shiloh is 1 month old!

Little girl is 5 weeks old today she is weighing in at 12lbs 12oz and 22.75 in long she is in the 98% for her age. The past couple weeks have been pretty crazy. We thought Shiloh got sick when she was a week old and have been watching her closely because she was wheezing finally after 2 weeks (she was 3 weeks old) we took her into the family dr. and the nurse practitioner said they thought she had RSV. This was really scary and we watched her very closely because she was wheezing and we wanted to make sure she was getting enough oxygen. Finally on Monday I took her into a pediatrician because she was have the same symptoms. The Dr. there diagnosed her with something called Larynomalacia (you can google it) which basically means floppy larynx. I guess some babies are born with larynx that arent as firm and so it causes noise when they are breathing. She said that she should out grow it and it shouldnt cause any problems except making funny noises when she breaths. I was so relieved and considered it a little miracle. I was preparing myself with the idea that my baby had asthma. The pediatrician also said a lot of non pediatrician Dr. misdiagnose it as a breathing related issue just because they aren't as familiar with babies bodies, so I think thats what happened when we took her into the family Dr. the week before. I can't tell you how relieved I was, I have been so worried about this girl, staying up at night just to make sure she is breathing okay. Its been kinda crazy and I finally feel like I can relax and just enjoy her.

Here she is at 3 weeks hanging out in the wrap

 Happy Easter

The Easter Bunny was trying to give Royce knuckles and Royce didn't want to touch him. LOl
James, Royce, Bella, Abrahm and a bunch of other unknown kids on the cougar at the BYU stadium in Provo. We went so the kids could participate in an egg hunt but we abandoned ship before it started there were way to many people and it was taking way to long to get started

 Shiloh in her Easter dress

One other thing we dealt with this first month was Shiloh's face. For some reason it got a little smushed when she was coming out. If you look at the picture above you can see that her left side is fuller than the right. I took her into a Cranio Orthodontist. He did a little head smushing and back adjusting now her face is much more symmetrical. I am little paranoid about this stuff because Bella had to get a helmet due to asymmetry of head. It was not only really expensive but also time consuming. The guy that fixed up Shiloh does it for free it the child is under four weeks (he usually charges $100 an hour) it took two appts. about 2 hours. His name is Michael Bridan and is located in Salt Lake. You can see in the pic below her face looks great!
Shiloh at 4 weeks in her carseat

Ms. Shiloh at 5 weeks I am always amazed at how fast these tiny little babies grow. She doesn't feel like a newborn to me anymore. She smiles at us sometimes but mostly she still like to eat and sleep a lot. hurray for babies!
