Exhausted

I guess Royce was tired after eating. Lol

Naked cowboy with the stomach flu

So we have had the stomach flu for oh for about the past month. Seriously it's been pretty gruesome around here. Poor Royce has had the worst of it. He is ok during the day drinking eating lightly but throwing up almost ever night give or take about a week. Everyone else was only sick for a few days. I keep thinking maybe today will be the last day.

Importance of work (Luke funny)

James was talking to the kids about the importance of work. He quoted " by the sweat of your brow you shall eat bread all the days of your life". Luke's response was "what kind of bread"?

Abrahm is 3 months old today

He is a happy little guy. Always ready with a smile. He brings joy to every member of our family. He is still sleeping and eating frequently. I think he is happiest when he is in his mothers arms. We love our little Brahmmer cakes.

Abrahm Jesse's blessing

Abrahm's blessing was today. It was a joyous occasion spent with family and friends. I know blessing are personal and special but I would like put some of the words from Abrahm's blessing on here so we can remember and reflect. A sweet friend in the ward but wrote these words out for me, it was so touching because she did it without prompting.

"We express our love and adoration for this child as we bring him to thee."
Abrahm Jesse Mortensen.
"Have a blessed live, above all, seek to bring honor to your mother.
Live a life that makes your mother proud.
Find joy and happiness in obedience to the commandments which is the only true happiness. Through your experience as a child we bless you to develop a deep abiding love for your family.
Your family is given to you to help you develop your divine potential as a joint heir with Christ. Bless you to live worthily.
To be easily entreated by your parents.
To become a disciple and be baptized.
 Be an example.
Be a fun-loving member of our family who contributes to the happy spirit in the home.
We bless you to honor your priesthood as most important asset to you.
Develop your talents. The world has many challenges.
Pray and develop a relationship with Jesus Christ that you may withstand the fiery darts of the devil.
Be a light in an increasingly wicked world- especially as a missionary
Blessed with a powerful Testimony that will change the hearts of many, including family.
We bless you to love your brothers and sisters.
We love you.
Heavenly Father will one day call you home.
As you listen to your parents, your family as they love you, priesthood leaders as they guide you you will return to live with Him.

I am so grateful for a righteous husband who holds the priesthood and is sensitive to the promptings of the spirit enough to give our son this beautiful blessing. What a precious gift this is.

Who needs barbeque sauce when you have smoothie

Royce was dipping his dinosaur nuggets in smoothie for lunch. When I asked him if it was good he said "es"  which is yes in Roy talk.

Stomach flu and moving in

We have been fighting a stomach bug that won't go away and are busy getting unpacked. One great thing about our new house is that we have a whole room just for homeschool. Here is Luke doing his Latin.

Luke 6 year check up

Luke is still growing like crazy. He is 72.2 lb and 50.5 in, that's 4ft 2 in! He is above the 100th percentage for his age range. He is very healthy but the Dr. did say we need to take him and get his eyes checked, I have noticed he has a hard time seeing things that are far away. He is so smart beating me at games and he is very logical. Things are very "black and white" for him. He loves using his imagination, I frequently find him walking in circles talking to himself making sound effects.
He is a sweet big brother very loving and tender with his siblings. What can I say besides I absolutely adore this boy.

A funny thing he said the other morning "  Mom, can I have spinach for breakfast? I love hot spinach!" Lol I don't even like hot spinach itself.

Abrahm is 2 months old!

Oh how the time flies. Next week he has his checkup and I will update this then. We have been super busy. James working and me packing and me making moving arrangements. We leave next Weds and arrive in Utah Friday night. Should be a busy week!

He had his 2 month checkup today and is keeping par with his brothers. He weighed in at14.3lbs (90%) and 26in long (off the charts)16.5in head(off the charts). He is doing everything he should be doing. Laughing, smiling, watching everything around him. He loves taking baths, being held and playing party cake. He is sleeping 9 -11 hours at night typically and is a sweet mellow baby.

He reminds me a lot of Luke in the way he looks and the build of his body, but he has a look of his own at the same. We love you Brahmmer cakes.

California here we come (2012 Summer Vacation part 2)

On our way to California we stopped in St. George at James parents house and had a nice restful stay. We swam went to the park and Betty and Marc took very good attentive care of us.

The boys went out and the girls stayed and swam. I love my Bella

When the men got back they jumped in the pool with us

Luke got another early birthday party with his Grandparents

Late night hot tubbing

We made it to Ca! Good ole' Linda Lane Park

We took the kids to the Costa Mesa Mall and over to Footsies to get some new shoes

Almost every morning we went for a walk on the beach and enjoyed the beauty of the ocean

Tons of fun on the beach! It was fun now that Bella and Luke are older and enjoy going in the water more
.

Happy 6th Birthday Luke!
On his real birthday we had a party at the park. His one request was that he had a birthday hat. I made him this one with goodies from the dollar store.

Luke with his babyhood friend Tori. Oh how they have grown she was at his first birthday.

Luke is really into Star War and Chronicals of Narnia right now.

Royce practicing his moves

The kids and James practiced their moves on the Paddle Board, Unfortunately James was to big for it and unable to get up on it, but the kids had a lot of fun! Go Emma!

Family Love!

Can you say Cheesecake Factory Anniversary! Yum!

On one of the days we went to the pirate park where James dropped his smart phone on the sand and it shattered. Luckily we had it insured

We are at the splash pads at the Spectrum in Irvine. The kids love this place.

Yes, I did let my one year old run around nude here. Cute little man.

Bella got squirted in the eye. Ouch!
