Happy Thanksgiving

This is a little belated but Happy Thanksgiving. We had a great time with lots of friends and family.
In the morning James went to play flag football
and Luke played in mud puddle
then we came home and had an early dinner. The Colters, Syeds, Hansens, and Harry's sister and her daughter all joined us for dinner.
The guest of honor was little baby Zach (our good friends Rachelle and Adams new baby boy)

Hide n Seek

I was cooking in the kitchen one evening and I turned around to find everything from the bottom shelf of my pantry on the floor and no kids in sight. Then I heard noise coming from inside the pantry and when I opened it up this is what I found.

They like just hanging out in there in the dark its really funny.

Big Brothers

Some of my proudest moments the past week have been of Luke protecting his little sister. He is what you would consider your typical big brother. Nobody and I mean Nobody better mess with his baby sister (unless of course its himself) His new favorite sentence is " Be nice to baby Bella" which usually include a typical Luke scowl. If she is crying he will go over and pat her on the head or try to give her a bottle.

On the other hand he has no problem ripping a toy out of her hands if he wants it or pushing her down if she's bugging him, but by no means is anyone else aloud to mess with her.

Pumpkin Patch Adventure

We went to the Pumpkin Patch in San Juan last week with Tracie and Samson and it was a lot of fun. It had a lot of fun things and was perfect for toddler aged children.

Bella seeing how she measures up to the giant pumpkin

Yes that's Luke, I had no idea he could do that with his face

Handsome Samson

Bella loved this horse she was attacking it

Happy Halloween

Luke was a real charmer this Halloween and has mastered trick or treating at the age of 2. He managed to get 3 full size candy bars out of one lady, I mean how do you say no when he is asking for it by color ("red one peease") .ither way the kids had a great Halloween, Bella didn't really know what was going on but she sure did look cute but Luke really grasped the concept and still talks about his candy (which we still have ton of)

In the morning we went to the mall with Tori and Samson where the kids trick or treated from store to store.

Then in the afternoon we went to a church party

Lastly we went to a neighborhood where our friends Tracie and Sal used to live and went door to door

I don't know if you can tell in the picture but Bella had a little mowhawk. I tried to tint the tips with mascara so you could see it better.

Happy Birthday Week

For those of you who don't know, James and my Birthdays are exactly a week apart, therefore every year between 10/08 and 10/15 it is declared birthday week and we just try and have lots of fun . This year has been no exception. Even though we are both extremely busy we have been making time to enjoy ourselves. This past Sunday some friends and us got together to paint some pumpkins and have some cake. It was a lot of fun, the kids had a blast and the pumpkins turned out so cute. (the parents painted one side and just let the kids go at the other)

These are our friends Amanda and Dago, (thanks for driving down again, it was fun having you there)

Tori, Tricia and JuJu

Luke going at his pumpkin (he had the daddy pumpkin cause it was the biggest one)

Samson was the little Artist of the group. He really go into it, at one point he was using two brushes . So funny!

Last but not least, the classic Luke cake face. What a silly kid.

Bella on the go

We were watching Conference down at James uncle Ron's condo when we found this cool little push toy and Bella showed us some new skills. It was a little bit of a shock because she is still just a little baby in my eyes, I can't believe she will be a walker soon (tear). Anyways enjoy this silly video clip.

On another note conference was awesome. We got to watch the first session completely uninterrupted (because the kids were napping). Its so nice to hear the wonderful messages our leaders have to help guide through the jungle of life. I get so scared sometimes at the thought of raising my kids in our day and age because there is so much temptation, and wickedness. It gives me sincere hope when I hear the talks during conference because even though it will be a lot of work and very trying at time, if we are good examples and strive to follow our gospel and heed to their guidance we can raise our kids to find true happiness in the principles of our church.

Oh the heartache of parenthood.

James got his internship!

So we finally have a bit of good news on the job front. James got an intership for an investment banking firm in Irvine, he starts Monday and is super excited and eager to start his professional career. I am so proud of him, he wanted this so bad and he landed it.

On a side note: a couple of my girlfriends and I have signed up to sell some of our homemade baby items at a craft fair in Laguna Hills this weekend, I a really excited and slightly stressed out about this. Here are a few of the things I have made and am going to try and sell. I also make those adorable waffle headbands & beanie, nylon headbands and clips that are interchangable for them. Bella was such a good sport letting me dress her up in all this stuff.

There is beauty all around when there's love at home.

So it has been an unusally long amount of time since I last updated my blog. The reason for this is because I started cosmetology school 2 weeks ago and have been running on turbo speed. I go Monday - Thurs 6-10pm and then on Saturdays 8:30am -5pm. I really have been enjoying it so far but I think it will take a couple weeks to get used to.

Enough about that, going back to the title of the blog...

I just wanted to express my appreciation and love for my sweeet little family. The best decision I ever made was to marry James and from that has come the sweetest joy and love I have ever experienced. Being in a atmosphere at school and surrounded by people with completely opposite beliefs, views, and lifestyles than I have, it has really brought me to appreciate the gospel and the peace it brings to your life. Yes I know I got married & had children young (in the worlds view) but those are best things about my life. Every morning waking up to a little voice say " good morning mama" or walking in a room and seeing my little girl squel in delight, those experiences bring such sweet love and joy. I guess what I am trying to say is I love the church and I am so greatful for the leaders that help guide us and teach us that our family is so central and important to our lives, and also that I love my husband and babies, more than I could every explain, and I wish everyone in the world could know what happiness it brings.

Bella Ballerina

I made this really adorable Tutu for Bella the other day and couldn't help but take some pictures of her all dressed up in it. She was so beautiful! I can hardly believe she is my daughter. I just love having a girl that I can dress up in all pink with flowers and tulle. Enjoy:)

Good things come in three

Luke had his girlfriends over Sunday night for dinner. The kids were so cute playing together. It is really fun now that they are at an age where they like to interact and play together, one of my favorite memories this month was of Luke and Tori laying under the benches during sacrament whispering to each other. So cute! Tori, Luke, Julia
Time for a little lovin

At first he didnt want to kiss Julia but he decided she was okay too later on.

Later in the night we got a bunch of pillow and blankets together and the kids had a blast jumping off the couch onto them (thanks for the idea Jessie).
