Luke end of Kindergarten

Luke finished off kindergarten in May. They had lots of fun events for the end of school
Here is Luke on field Day his teacher Mrs. Collum is standing behind him.

He was very good at this game meticulously pouring the water into the bottle.
They let Bella participate in some of the games to Luke's left is his good buddy Tyson who was in his class.
They had Splash Day and again Bella got to be involved. Luke was so sweet with her. He always watches out for her and make sure she is taken care of. He is a really good big brother.
Climbing up
 Luke going down
Bella going down the slide. I think because she was so light she just flew down!
Luke loved being in school this year, more than I ever thought he would. He thrives off structure and routine and he is very precise person he likes things to be the way they are suppose to be, so we have set up our own routine during the summer to keep him busy and happy, here they are doing their workbooks one morning.

Royce 15 months!

Roy had his 15 month check up at the beginning of May he is weighing in at
28lb (off the charts) 34in (off the charts) which just means he is bigger than most kids his age. He is definitely following in big brothers footsteps but they have different builds.

One of Royce's strongest features our these big brown eyes that I love!
He is so full of life and personality. He is a very happy, friendly boy.
He loves, loves, loves fruit and will eat it 3 meals a day. He also has a sweet tooth and we have to hide the treats from him. He is eating a pear very aggresively in this picture
Roycie's favorite place to be is outside, but he is a very adventurous smart child so he tends to escape the yard or just put himself in bad situations. One of my friends gave us this little play yard so we trap him in it sometimes.

He loves going to the park and trying to keep up with his big brother and sister. He is really good at climbing and his favorite is going down the slide, over and over again.
Roy is enjoying a milk shake, poor James was coming down with strep throat in this picture, thats why he is so pale.
Yummy Smore
This baby loves animals! He is drawn to them and just love to be around them. A few weeks ago we sold our female golden. Roy is snuggling Oscar our male in this picture.
He is very opinionated and knows what he wants. He was swimming in the pool and when we were done I tried to take off his water wings, he wouldn't have it, he wanted to wear them around. lol.
After his checkup I realized that he was four inches to tall to be rear facing in his car seat so we finally flipped him around. Here he is pointing at the car movie player. He finally figured out where the sound was coming from.
Roy has learned how to express his opinions but he has seriously cute tantrum I just wanted to kiss his little face.

May Day

This was a week that helped our family to remember that life if not always easy but to persevere and things always get better. It started Sat night last. Luke wasn't feeling well, he had a fever and went to bed early. Sunday James was going out of town a week in Houston and La he wanted us to come since Luke didn't have school on Monday but Luke was still sick with a high fever, threw up and Royce also had a low fever so we decided to stay home and take it easy. Monday both Royce and Luke were doing better. We all missed James terribly so we decided to drive down and join him for a couple nights. Houston is about 5 hours from us. When we got there James met us at the Chick fil A for dinner and then got us checked into the hotel. I noticed at the restaurant Royce's fever came back and his eyes were bloodshot but I figured it would pass like Luke's did. James worked till 10 that night and I took the kids swimming and got them in bed. Then it began. Roy was up all night crying with a fever, we held him and gave him meds but nothing helped. James had to go back into work at 6 the next morning. The kids and I stayed at the hotel and Roy was so sick he threw up after breakfast and just layed around whining it was so sad. The hotel was full that night so we had to check out at one. We could not find another hotel within an hours range to check into. They were all full for an oil convention. Sadly the kids and I drove home since Roy was so sick and there was no place to stay. (James latter found a room that had a late cancellation). To make a long story short. Roy had strep throat Bella also got sick but was better within two days. I had a long week of sleepless nights.

Thursday came around and I was so tired I didn't even wake up to take Luke to school, we all just slept in. Roy got on anti-biotic. We went to get some much needed groceries. At the store they had these cute carts. The kids love pushing them around and I loved them being occupied enough not to get into to stuff. win win!
The water in the pool was finally warm enough to swim in and the kids had a good time

We were so glad when Daddy made it home last night, he had some car problem but through it all he is here and we are happpy! Luke and Bella went to a birthday party and we took advantage and went out to dinner with Royce at Red Lobster (I had a major craving for sea food). It was so great I couldn't stop smiling.
The best part was Roy was entertained almost the entire time with the crab legs, he watched us eat them and tried to crack them open himself it was so funny! I also took the leftovers home to the kids and they played with them for an hour they loved the lobster tail, shrimp and crab claw.

To sum things up this was a rough week but I think the rough times are what makes the good ones so great!

Luke Funny

Yesterday Luke was getting something out of the freezer and I said "hey buddy what are you doing"? He said "I am getting the ice I cooked up". I responded with "How did you cook up ice"? He then explained that in the morning while I was sleeping in Bella and him put water in a cup and then put it in the freezer to cook up some ice. Lol!

For as long as I can remember whenever we get fortune cookies with the kids James and I make up the fortune for the them since they are not really age appropriate. We tell them things like. "You will someday turn into a mermaid" or "You will go to your friends house tonight to play" just random whatevers. Friday on our way to take Luke to school he randomly says "How do they know so much"?! a little confused I respond with "What are you talking about Luke"? He says "The fortune cookies.............. They are so smart"! I just started to giggle and didn't respond. A few seconds later he adds (totally serious) "Are they spying on us???"! At that I cracked up.

Week Update

Earlier this week Luke said mommy come outside I have want to show you something. When I walked out he pointed to the note he wrote to me on the side walk. Ahhh!
Luke's Kindergarten school picture. Such a handsome kid!
Friday Fun Day! We were waiting for Daddy to get home Friday so we decided to have a little fun. Since it was 92 degrees we got the water out. The kids played in the kiddie pool with the slides and got the sprinkler out and put it on the trampoline at  first (didn't work so good) then put it under the trampoline (worked much better) and had a bouncy wet time. Royce was so funny. The whole time he was playing in the water he was shivering and making cold sound effects, he would go down the slide, get all wet, whine a little and then go back to do it again. lol, I guess it was bitter sweet.

after getting dry and in pajamas the kids had a movie night. Royce is not usually interested in TV so I gave him a bin of cars to play with on the floor. I left for a couple minutes and came back to this. They were all snuggling and hanging out of the couch watching the movie. Lasted about 3 minutes
Here is Royce just hanging out. Okay so we love the baby backpack. We actually owned 2 at one point a really nice expensive one and this old baby trend one. The baby trend one was actually lighter weight and more comfortable. Royce will literally hang out in this for hours on James back while he does yard work or anything that he needs to get done without baby getting into. I guess today while James was mowing the lawn with Royce in this he was singing a little song to himself. lol

The kids had another set of horse riding lessons today. They once again had a blast!

Royce's 2nd hair cut, goodbye rat tail

I was giving James and Luke a hair cut this weekend and I realized it was time to say goodbye to the pony tail. This was his 2nd hair cut, I have never cut the top just the back and sides when he was 6 months old (when we were on vacation in CA last year) I still just cut the back and sides, I just can't say goodbye to all his baby locks
When you sons hair is long enough to do this in the back and only in the back it is time to say goodbye.
braided (I saved it in an envelope)
I tried to get a good picture but he was super squirmy after holding still to get his hair cut plus what you can't see is the sucker drool and hair stuck all over his chest. lol.

Bubble Bath and beyond

What kid doesn't love a bubble bath right? The other day I realized I couldn't remember if Royce ever had one. Well he loved more than just playing in the bubbles!

This is how it started just having fun and playing. Putting them on each others head and laughing.
Then Little Roycie got them on his face which I thought would totally bug him. Nope he loved it and then started to eat them lol!
Our little bubble boy!

Bella's dirty look face, she is not having fun.

So I have a ton of pictures of Royce swinging. There are two reasons: One he loves it!, two he is still so little he can easily hurt himself at parks and he often get tired since our play time goes into when he should be napping. The swing is my fallback, if I am exhausted of chasing him or he gets tired I can park him in one of these bad boys for usually like 20 mins before he gets sick of it. Swing are a must have at a park

Bella Funny

We had James home teaching companion, Alex, over for an after church meal. James was dishing out the food and Bella asked what it was. James said "we are having ham and vegetables". A few seconds later Bella turned to Alex and said "last year we had dead pig for dinner..... Yeah.... It was delicious!" Everyone started laughing and then we explained to her that ham is dead pig. LOL! I don't think it sunk in cause the rest of the meal she kept asking for more chicken.

20 weeks! almost

So I will be 20 weeks on Wednesday or maybe Tuesday? I cant remember, but its exciting to get to the half way point!
